Does Keymesh add latency to my API calls?
Minimal. Keymesh runs on Cloudflare's edge network, adding only 5-10ms of latency. Your actual API call to OpenAI/Anthropic (typically 200ms-2s for inference) is the main factor.
How secure are my API keys?
Provider API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. Virtual keys are hashed, never stored in plaintext. We never log request bodies or API responses.
What happens if Keymesh goes down?
You swap back to the original API endpoint (api.openai.com). It's a one-line change. No vendor lock-in, no data migration needed.
Which AI providers do you support?
Currently OpenAI and Anthropic. These cover 90%+ of enterprise AI usage. We'll add more providers based on customer demand.
How does budget enforcement work?
You set a budget limit per virtual key. When the limit is reached, requests are blocked immediately (not just alerted). This prevents runaway costs before they happen.
